In Loving Memory of Robin Lashan Moore (Ramsey)
Robin Lashan Moore (Ramsey), affectionately known as "Robbie," was the fourth of six vivacious daughters born to Joe and Hazel Moore. She entered this world surrounded by love and joy on [Date of Birth]. From an early age, Robin embraced her faith and became a devoted member of the Greater Cleaves Memorial CME Church.
Robin's journey continued at Millwood High School, where she graduated in 1983. She proudly represented the Millwood Falcons on both the Track and Field team and the Lady Falcons Basketball team. Her spirit and enthusiasm earned her the admiration of her peers and the title of Falcon pride—GO FALCONS!
It was during her high school years that Robin met the love of her life, David Earl Ramsey Jr. They united in marriage in 1983, and together they nurtured three beautiful roses: Marquis, Brandon, and Carmen Ramsey. Their journey led them to various locations due to David Jr.'s service in the United States Air Force, settling temporarily at Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County, Illinois, and later at Luke Air Force Base in Maricopa County, Arizona. It was in Arizona that Robin embarked on her entrepreneurial venture, establishing her own home daycare.
Upon returning to Oklahoma City, Robin pursued a career in healthcare, first as a Certified Nurse's Assistant at St. Anthony Hospital and later as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician. Her dedication and compassion touched the lives of many patients throughout her 13 years with Certified Patient TechCare.
Robin was blessed with an incredible family, whom she cherished dearly. Her sisters, Shelia, Tina, Lori, and Karen, provided unwavering support and love, especially during Robin's health challenges. Her children, Marquis, Brandon, and Carmen, were her world, and she dedicated herself to instilling values that would shape their futures.
Becoming a grandmother, fondly known as "Mimi" by her grandchildren, brought immense joy to Robin's life. She delighted in spending time with Erion, Brandon Jr., Brayceon, Brody, Brittish, Amir, and Ahrie—her "crew"—and showering them with love and affection.
Robin Lashan Ramsey departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2024, to join her parents, sister Patricia, mother-in-law Jacquelin, and nephew Kevin in the arms of the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith cherished by her children, grandchildren, sisters, father-in-law Reverend David E. Ramsey Sr., and a host of relatives and friends.
Although Robin's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she rests in the loving embrace of Jesus.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only for me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." – 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV
